French Bronze Argente and Glass Center Bowl, fourth quarter 19th century, of oblong form, the bronze argente frame with a pair of molded bands, the upper with trefoil crockets, joined on the sides by scroll-mounted cartouches and the ends by grotesque masques, all raised on haunched paw feet, fitted with a molded and frosted glass liner with transparent rim, h. 7-1/4", l. 17-1/2", w. 10-3/4".


  • Condition: No visible losses or repairs. Two of the feet are lacking screws. Light tarnishing and scattered nicks to silver. Bowl has slight clouding to glass and surface scratches to basin, which are consistent with age and use.
