Three Italian .800 Silver Gilt and Enamel Dresser Articles, second half 20th century, Florence, in the 18th-century "galants" style, including two compacts, one oval, w. 3-3//4", the other shield-shaped, w. 3-1/4", and a cased comb, l. 4-3/8", all decorated with Swiss enameled scenes of courting lovers surrounded by enameled faux-malachite panels, all on an ornately engraved rococo ground.


  • Condition: All pieces in overall good condition. Very scattered, very minor enamel anomalies. SHIELD-FORM COMPACT: Stamped: "Coppini & Co.". The interior gilded and void. Retains the original shaped and beveled mirror. Faux-malachite panels and "Galants" reserve. Shallow vertical scratch toward one side of the reserve. COMB: Matching the above compact with faux-malachite panels and "Galants" reserve. Faux-tortoise teeth all present with several splayed. OVAL COMPACT: "Romeo and Juliet" reserve surrounded by faux-turquoise panels. Interior retains powder and what appears to be the original screen. The shaped, beveled mirror with a greenish metal shaped mat.
