Fifty Assorted Pieces of Gorham "Strasbourg" Sterling Silver Flatware, the pattern designed in 1897 by William Christmas Codman (1839-1923), Providence, Rhode Island, including thirty-eight place pieces and twelve serving pieces, no monograms, 37.34 total t. oz. (weighable silver). Detailed list of pieces available on request.

  • Condition: In generally good used condition, with some minor issues resulting from regular use: a few dented tines, nicks on the bowls of the spoons, dulled finish, etc. The salad serving spoon has a crack around the stem and at the ferrule, though it is intact and serviceable. Some pieces have the older oxidized "French Grey" finish, others the newer "Bright" finish (though all are dulled as noted). Each piece marked (on the underside, in the die) "Gorham Sterling"; the knives acid-etched "Gorham Sterling Handle" on the blades. A good filler for an existing set.
