  • Provenance: The Collection of the Late Dr. E. Ralph Lupin, New Orleans, Louisiana.
  • Condition: **Surface dirt and darkening of the varnish layer. Canvas relined. Buckling and craquelure to upper right area. A few abrasions to lower left edge and small losses in upper right, close to right edge and lower right areas. Inpainting repairs to far right figure and his rifle and top of the hair to figure right next to him. Other inpainting touch-ups to various figures appear to be craquelure fillers. Other inpainting touch-ups to sky and foreground.
