20th century, after the ca. 1740 monumental sculptures commissioned by Louis XV to be placed in his Chateau Marly and now conserved at the Louvre, Paris, each with cast signature along edge of self-base, each on a beveled red griotte marble base.

  • Condition: **In overall good condition with scattered nicks, surface scratches, areas of abrading and rubbing. Some soiling/accretions in more deeply modeled areas. A few scattered areas of oxidation. Marble bases with faint nicks along edges and a few slight cracks. All consistent with age, material and usage. Deep chocolate brown patina.
