American Brass and Satsuma Pottery Aesthetic Chandelier

fourth quarter 19th century, the standard with a cylindrical satsuma fitting, the brass arms decorated with incised aesthetic cut work decoration, the arms terminating in gas fittings, now converted, set into hand-painted satsuma fittings and set with "Daisy and Button" pressed glass shades.
h. 59", dia. 37"

  • Condition: **In very good condition. No sign of damage or missing elements. It is electrified by running the wiring along the outside of the arms. Four of the arms have a slight crimp where they curve towards the pottery fonts. Also, there is a very small drilled hole on the inside tip of the prongs that hang down at the bottom center. This possibly indicates that a ring or some other decorative element may have been there.

Diameter including shades is 38". There is 23" of brass tubing between the canopy and the brass hub above the pottery piece.
