American Late Classical Mahogany Banquet Table
mid-19th century, the circular top over a split cluster-column pedestal, joined to scroll feet ending in roundels, together with four leaves, two of which are skirted.

Condition: **In good "as found" condition, with normal shrinkage, mars, wear, surface losses and indications of age and use.
The finish is worn, and heavily blushed. Much of the original, richer color may return when the finish is removed or revived. The apron is particularly heavily blushed. There are four small areas of filler on the top, just above the apron near where the top opens to accommodate the leaves.
The bottom of the apron is about 25-3/4" from the floor. There is one veneer loss, about 3/8" by 3/8" by 1/2" along the inside lower edge, where the sections of the split pedestal meet.
Normal rubbing and wear from feet to the edges of the feet, most notably at the upper part of the scrolls. There are some veneer losses at the bottom edges of the base.
