American Rococo Revival Laminated Rosewood Armchair in the "Henry Clay" Pattern, Attributed to J. H. Belter, New York

third quarter 19th century, the rose-, leaf- and fruit-carved crest over an upholstered panel of corseted form, with open arms, serpentine seat and cabriole legs, the front seat rail in like carving, now upholstered in tufted brocade.

  • Condition: **In very good refinished and restored condition.

    Tight, sturdy and solid with normal minor chips and flakes to edges of carved surfaces. There are two tiny filled tack holes on the back.

    Upholstery in very good, approaching excellent, condition.
