American Rococo Revival Rosewood and Marble-Top Center Table, third quarter 19th century, New York, probably Alexander Roux, of tortoise form, the Brocatelle Violette d'Espagne marble top over a conforming serpentine apron with robustly carved flora and vines, raised on cabriole legs with fruit-carved leaves, the serpentine stretchers joined by a floral basket, h. 29-7/8", w. 42-1/2", d. 29-3/4".


  • Condition: In very good refinished and restored condition. Tight and sturdy. No apparent repairs to legs or stretchers. The marble is in very good condition, with few customary chips or flakes to the edges. No notable losses to carving observed.
