first quarter 20th century, by Frank W. Smith, Gardner, Massachusetts, the hemispherical bowl with bright-cut and wrigglework floral swags and banding, raised on a conforming waisted foot.

  • Condition: **In generally good condition, with no breaks or repairs noted, but the surface with scuffs and scrapes and pinpoint dings, and wear to the bright-cut decoration, all indicative of age and use. Marked on the underside with the Frank W. Smith "S-crescent-lion" trademark, the pattern number "2708", "Sterling" and "Jaccard's" (retailer Jaccard's, Kansas City, Missouri).
