During the Jewish harvest festival of Sukkoth, the four plants referenced above are emblematic of God's abundance. The palm, tree, and willows are collectively known as the lulav, while the citric fruit of the hadar tree is the ertog.


  • Condition: **Inpainting repairs to robe at collar, in the background, right above proper right shoulder, one spot to the arm. Unevenness of varnish layer, and minor, spot-like losses close to the left edge. Frame with marks, nicks and scattered losses.
