including "Francis R. Shaunk (1788-1848), 10th Governor of Pennsylvania, 1845-1848"; and "General George Potts (1806-1872), House of Representatives, 1840-1844, and 1st Mayor of Altoona, 1870-1872".
Each glazed and framed, the second in a period frame.

Provenance: Silhouette of General Potts descended in the family through 1932; Estate of Dr. Carroll Ball, Jackson, Mississippi.


  • Condition: **Both in generally good condition with overall toning to paper and scattered areas of foxing. Potts with staining at mid-left between figure and door, area slightly lower left to this and scattered small other areas. Five small holes along edges, likely from earlier framing or mounting. Shaunk with small losses/abrading to paper at upper mid-right and area at lower left to that. All consistent with age and material.
