Austro-Hungarian Lady's Travelling Toilette

  • Condition: Overall Condition: Very Good. One or two small dents on the base of one candelabrum, but otherwise in quite good condition, with minor wear consistent with minimal use. Scattered green spotting on the reverse of the mirror frame, with some minor losses and scratches at the lower edge of the mirrored plate. Note that the mirror easel is silverplate, though the frame itself is properly marked. Each piece marked with either the Austro-Hungarian large "Dianakopf" or small "hundkopf" third standard mark (assay office code "A" for Vienna) in use 1866-1922; and with the "four leaf clover" trademark of Alexander Sturm; the mirror additionally with his maker's mark "ASt". The case has a shrinkage split running its length on the lid, but is still sound; the lining has some very light soiling. Quite an impressive set with no significant condition issues.
