  • Provenance: The Collection of the Late Dr. E. Ralph Lupin, New Orleans, Louisiana.
  • Condition: **In overall very good condition, with no breaks or repairs noted. Scattered surface wear, with some pinpoint dings, dents and scuffs. Evidence of a professionally removed (filled and polished) monogram "EC" on all pieces, most pronounced on the waste bowl and cream jug. One teapot and the coffeepot are each lacking three of the four retaining pins on the insulators and the handles are therefore not secure. (The insulators themselves are intact.) Each piece marked (on the underside) "Bailey & Co. / 136 / Chestnut St. Phila"; all but the waste bowl marked additionally with the Bailey "elephant" and "eagle-U-shield" coin silver trademarks.
