Brass and Bronze Figural Gasolier

third quarter 20th century, probably Philadelphia, the three-light gasolier with a figure of a Berber standing on the standard with a polished lower pan and rope-twist "chains" held by writhing snakes, the top with a pierced corona set with engraved and frosted gas shades.
h. 41", dia. 21"

  • Condition: **In "as found" condition. The frame is in overall very good condition. The central spelter figure has some cracks, old repairs, and drill holes to the back side (likely not original to the gasolier). Now electrified. Although the shades have the same cut-work pattern, two of them are 7" diameter and one is 8" diameter.
