Chinese Carved Translucent Agate Teapot, Qing Dynasty (1644-1911), the Mughal-style pale gray and russet agate with a knop finial and finely ribbed body, with taotie masks on the handle and beneath the spout, two with suspended rings, h. 7-1/2", w. 6-1/4", d. 2-3/8". Provenance: The estate of Violeta Judell van Ronzelen.


  • Condition: In very good condition. A 1/4" internal pressure crack on the lip, obscured by lid. Very light soiling. A yellowish inclusion on the underside and another at the lip. No breaks or evidence of restoration.
