Kangxi (1662-1722) mark and period, having a globular body supporting a cylindrical neck with everted rim, the vase painted with a phoenix over rockwork design, with blossoming peonies and other floral sprays, the reverse with a simple rockwork and foliage motif, the base with a six character Kangxi mark in underglaze blue.
