Chinese Jade Covered Jar with Stand 18th/19th century, the mottled green stone carved in the form of an archaic vessel set among ruyi mushrooms, prunus limbs and bamboo, the underside carved to resemble a scholar's rock, resting on a pierced and silver-inlaid custom stand, jade, h. 4-5/8".

  • Condition: Finial appears to have been repaired. Visible stone lines and bright green inclusions. Only one of the vessel's taotie lugs has a ring. A couple of tiny nicks to the leaves. Some scuffing to stand and a few scattered losses to the silver wire inlay. Wear to the bottom of two of the stand's five feet. Wear does not compromise the structural or visual integrity of the piece and is commensurate with age and display.
