Chinese Rosewood Cabinet, early 20th century, the banded rectangular top above a case fitted with two doors, each with a reeded banding around a floral- and foliate-carved panel, raised above a pierced apron on block feet, h. 34-1/2", w. 34-1/2", d. 17".


  • Condition: The top panel has a shrinkage crack which runs left to right along the seam where two boards are joined. There is a small piece of wood gone to this panel at the back right corner, approximately 1/2" x 1/2". Old stains to the surface from age and use. The left side panel has a vertical shrinkage crack along the forward edge. The sides of the case are lacking their lower pierced carved aprons. The brass keyhole insert is loose. Rich, dark finish and patina. There is a key present.
