Classical Revival Marble Floor Lamp Standard

  • Condition: This beautifully carved marble lamp has a verbal family history in the Saenger Theatre, built in New Orleans in 1927 in the Florentine style. It is in generally good condition. One putto has significant damage to one lower leg, one has a small chip to his knee, and there are losses to the lower edge of the base holding the putti. The lamp has been taken apart, with fresh plaster showing at the joints, and needs to be reassembled. The upper 15" of the standard is alabaster and may have been an addition. The three lamp sockets protruding from it are later as well.
