Coco Chanel-Designed Gilt-Metal and Rock Crystal Twelve-Light Chandelier, 20th century, French, designed in collaboration with Parisian jeweler Robert Goossens, the chandelier incorporating interlocking hearts and ovals, recalling the famous Chanel logo, hung with a ring of rough-cut polished rock crystal drops trimmed with gilt-metal leaves, the interior of the ring set with twelve tulip-form light sockets, the ring hanging from woven gilt-metal "vines" supported by a corona of pierced hearts and ovals, a large rough-cut polished rock crystal finial suspended in the center from a vine-form standard, h. 40", dia. 31".
