Collection of Seven Neoclassical Bronze and Patinated Metal Sculptures

second half 19th century, Continental, including a patinated bronze Narcissus, h. 11", dia. 4", a bronze Perseus with the head of Medusa, h. 5-3/4", w. 1-1/4", a bronze "Dying Gaul", h. 3-1/4", w. 6", a bronze bust of Apollo Belvedere, h. 5", w. 3-1/4", a patinated metal "Discobolus", h. 4-1/2", w. 2-1/4", a patinated spelter figure of an athlete loosely modeled after "Lo Spinario", h. 4", w. 3-1/4", and a French Napoleon III bronze chamberstick with a molded swan, h. 3-1/4", w. 6-1/2".


  • Condition: **NOTE: There are not two "Discobolus" figures, only one, and the seated figure is a patinated spelter figure of an athlete modeled after "Lo Spinario".

    The bobeche on the candle/chamberstick has several dents, and the athlete is lacking its first two right toes. All sculptures exhibit some minor surface scratches and nicks, which are as to be expected with age and use. In overall good condition.
