Collection of Six Eighteenth-Century Plates, including four French floral-decorated soft paste porcelain plates in the Mennecy style, third quarter 18th century, dia. 9", a French faience plate decorated with an iris, fourth quarter 18th century, dia. 9-1/4", and a Furstenberg soup plate with ornithological decoration, marked "F" in underglaze blue, fourth quarter 18th century, dia. 9".


  • Condition: Four floral plates have light firing anomalies - peppering and pitting. One of them has a small kiln split in the plate well and a 3/4" hairline crack to rim. Ornithological plate also has firing anomalies - pitting, notable peppering. The plate with the iris has stilt marks and has been repaired in a few places from the underside. Well glaze also exhibits light craquelure.
