late 19th century, the shaped top with a molded edge, above a waisted frieze and tapered paneled standard with applied shield carving, to a molded base.

  • Condition: **In good "as found" condition with a stripped and waxed surface.

    The piece is tight, solid and stable.

    There is scattered insect damage, most notably to the top and base.

    The piece exhibits shrinkage lines and separations where boards are laminated together throughout. Filler added in some separations.

    There is a glued break to the crest carving to the applied decoration on the body of the pedestal. There are some chips/carving losses in that area.
