Continental Carved Plaque of St. George Slaying the Dragon, fourth quarter 18th century, in a carved giltwood frame, the bas-relief carving depicting a pensive St. George, his pike still in the just slain dragon, as he stands over him victoriously, the frame, probably Italian, of altar form with fluted and spiral reeded columns, a molded table in the center, under a projecting entablature, h. 12", w. 9", d. 3".
