late 19th century, the shaped pediment above a turreted ogee-molded frieze, above a conforming case fitted with a single paneled door, flanked to either side by a freestanding barley-twist upright, over a single drawer, raised on turreted feet.

  • Condition: **In good "as found" condition. The piece retains substantially its original polychromed finish, with scattered losses , rubbing, wear and some minor inpainting. Normal shrinkage, mars and indications of age and use.

    The assembled cabinet is sturdy and exhibits no movement at the joints when shook.

    The door retains its lock but no key. It opens and closes freely. The interior was previously fitted for three shelves, each about 20" deep, and retains the supports but the shelves are absent.

    The knob for the lower drawer is loose.
