Continental Silverplate Center Bowl, first quarter 20th century, in the rococo taste, of batteau form, decorated with rococo cartouches, flowers and crested by a figure of Diana, h. 10-3/4", l. 14", w. 6".


  • Condition: In generally good condition with no repairs or dents noted. The piece has been re-plated, and there is a 1" diameter area of blistering on one cartouche and a 1-1/4" x 3/4" area of loss revealing the base metal on the other, with some scattered tiny blistering throughout and a 1/4" diameter loss to the plating on the scrolled end. The string of Diana's bow is lacking, and one is dented inwards. Marked on the underside of Diana's quiver "A. Koehler & Cie 36".
