Directoire-Style Satinwood-Inlaid Mahogany and Marble-Top Commode, 19th century, the white marble top above a conforming case fitted with three long drawers with brass handles and raised on tapering square legs, h. 34", w. 44-1/2", d. 19".
- Condition: In overall good condition, exhibiting minor wear and indications of age and use. The case is tight and solid. The marble top exhibits some light stains, embedded dirt in low points, and a few minor nicks to the perimeter edges. Drawer locks are present; the key is not. The right side of the case exhibits a vertical shrinkage crack.
