mid-19th century, the molded and double-domed cornice above two doors, each inset with a shaped, highly figured panel, the lower section fitted with two short drawers over a single long drawer and two long bombe drawers, the whole raised on block feet.

  • Condition: **In very good polished and restored condition. The piece exhibits normal mars, dings, abrasions and shrinkage consistent with age and use. There are some past veneer repairs of very good quality.

    The case is tight and solid, with no movement noted at the glue joints of the base. There are some filled vertical shrinkage cracks on the top and bottom of one side.

    The upper interior includes three shelves and three drawers.

    There are veneer losses on the perimeter edges of one door, about 3/8" x 1/2" and 1/2" x 1".

    All locks are present. A keys is present that works on both the upper door and the lower drawers. Lower drawers slide freely.
