ca. 1800, in the Hepplewhite taste, the top with an overhanging molded cornice above a row of three side-by-side drawers and four graduated long drawers below, each drawer with an oval string-inlaid panel and brass "batwing" hardware, raised on splayed legs.

  • Condition: **The case is sturdy and functional.

    The piece exhibits normal shrinkage and wear including minor past repairs. There is some loss to inlaid stringing beneath the cornice on one return, and at the corners of some drawer faces. There are a couple spices to upper corners of drawers.

    Retains all its locks. No key. The upper center drawer is currently locked. Brass pulls are replaced.

    The legs and bottom section appear to be replaced.
