h. 31-1/2", w. 50", d. 22-1/2"

Provenance: Descended in the Family of John Gilman D'Arcy Paul, Baltimore, Maryland.

  • Condition: **In overall very good condition. The piece exhibits normal blemishes, mars, shrinkage, wear and indications of age and use.

The top has a tight shrinkage separation at the lamination line of two boards. There is a splice running the width of the top, about 1" wide. There is a small triangular splice along a side edge.

The lock for the lid is replaced. The locks for the drawers appear to be original. No key is present. One drawer exhibits indications of once having had a center knob. The brass pulls that are there are antique/period with some later posts and nuts. The only drillings for pulls on the second drawer are those for these bail pulls.

The feet appear to be original, attached with square nails.
