Early George III Sterling Silver Caster

  • Condition: Overall Condition: Very Good. One or two tiny losses to the pierced grille-work in the cap, but otherwise no condition issues noted beyond the expected light scuffs and dings consistent with age. Original hammering marks visible on the body. Monogrammed (on the underside) "W/HM". Hallmarked (on the underside, inside the foot) with 1) the sterling lion passant; 2) the London crowned leopard's head; 3) the date letter "I" for 1764-1765; and 4) the "R.P" maker's mark of Richard Palmer I. Marks excellent. A very nice piece.
