Early George V Sterling Silver and Tortoiseshell Tea Caddy

hallmarked London, 1910-1911, by William Comyns & Sons, of oval section, the tortoiseshell body inlaid with silver bellflower-mantled patera, with silver bellflower-banded top and base en suite, with fitted cylindrical cap and flower bud finial, engraved (on the cap) "Dorothy".

  • Condition: **In very good condition. Some natural imperfections in the tortoiseshell and minor wear to the silver, but no dents, breaks or repairs and no losses or lifting to the inlay. Fully and identically hallmarked on the base, top and inside lid. A very attractive lot.
