Eight-Piece Gorham "Plymouth" Sterling Silver Coffee and Tea Set

the pattern designed in 1911 by William Christmas Codman (1839-1921), Providence, Rhode Island, including a coffeepot, h. 8-1/2", a teapot, h. 6-1/2", a covered sugar bowl, h. 5-3/4", a sugar basket, h. 3-3/8", a large cream jug, h. 5-3/4", a small cream jug, h. 5-1/8", a waste bowl, h. 3-3/4", and a tray, 20-1/4" x 13-3/4", monogrammed "MNF".

  • Condition: **In overall good condition with the expected surface scuffs and dings consistent with age and use, but no significant dents noted other than a few light impressions on the tray (which is sterling silver, not plate, and so marked). The handle of the small cream jug is dented inwards and broken off at the lower end where it meets the body, and the loose end has scratched the body in the surrounding area. Each piece marked (on the underside) with the Gorham "lion-anchor-G" trademark and "Sterling", with the appropriate pattern number; additionally marked with various Gorham date-marks for 1902-1910.
