English Tortoiseshell Bombe-Form Tea Caddy, fourth quarter 19th century, on bun feet, with a deeply coved cover, over a two-compartment foil-lined interior, set with tortoise lids, h. 6", w. 7-1/2", d. 4-1/2". Provenance: The Estate of James C. Westerfield, Jackson, Mississippi.


  • Condition: On the lid, there are three very small losses to the undersides of the corner edges. Small scattered losses to the silver filament at the tortoiseshell seams are also present. A tiny 1/8" x 1/8" professional repair has been made to the rear edge of the lid. Three of the feet have age cracks. In overall good condition.
