first quarter 20th century, Berlin, .800 silver, including eighteen six-piece place settings (one dinner and two dessert knives lacking), monogrammed "G", presented in the original dark blue cloth-covered wood case with lift-top, fall front (lacking) and three fitted drawers, lined in green velveteen, the interior lid with gilt stamp of Eugen Marcus, 10-1/4" x 19-1/2" x 15".

  • Condition: **In generally good used condition, with the expected scuffs and scrapes associated with use. Some of the knife blades are starting to extrude, and most have some minor rusting near the bolster; two of the dinner knife blades are loose and/or misaligned. The case front is lacking as noted, and the cloth exterior has some tears, minor losses and peeling.
