Exceptional French Neo-Grec Bronze and Marble Clock

third quarter 19th century, mounted with a bronze figure of Hebe and Jupiter's eagle, after Albert-Ernest Carrier-Belleuse (French, 1824-1881), and marked "Carrier", the clock by Lemerle-Charpentier, Paris, and marked on both the dial and works, the fluted marble case with trailing ivy framing the dial, the front foot molded with a leopard's head, the handles with anthemia.

  • Condition: **In excellent condition. No sign of damage or repairs to the marble or bronze. Pleasing patina to the bronze. Winding key and pendulum present. We are uncertain as to its running condition. This is two pieces.
