  • Provenance: From the Estate of Edward Hull Crump, Jr., Memphis, Tennessee.
  • Condition: **In good polished and restored condition. The surface appears to be an old or original finish that has been subsequently French-polished. It currently exhibits scattered minor mars and blemishes, most notably a water ring on the deck. There is scattered shrinkage, including an area of veneer loss over underlying wood shrinkage at a corner/side of the projecting deck.
All locks are present as is a functioning key. There is one missing inserted brass key escutcheon. There is a filled hole at the center of each brass bail backplate indicating this was once fitted with different pulls.
The door glass is a combination of old glass and replacements, with one crack or break in a lower corner of one pane. That crack is about 1/4" high by 1-1/2" long.
There are losses to the beaded molding just beneath the deck on both sides/returns of the lower case. There is also a loss to the lower molding on one side of the case.
