a Continental walking stick with copper knob handle and banded collar, both unscrewing to reveal hollow chambers, with rattan shaft and steel ferrule, l. 35-3/8";
an American walking stick with brass duck's head handle unscrewing to reveal a cigarette lighter, with mahogany-stained wood shaft and brass ferrule, l. 35-1/4";
an English walking stick with sterling silver capstick handle hallmarked London, 1985 by "RA", twisting and unlocking to reveal a cigarette lighter, with rosewood shaft and plastic ferrule, l. 36";
an American walking stick with brass pommel handle unscrewing to reveal a compass, the brass collar unscrewing to reveal a stoppered glass specimen tube, the mahogany shaft brass and ebonized banding unscrewing to collapse into three segments, with rubber-tipped brass ferrule, l. 35"; and
an English walking stick with sterling silver knob handle hallmarked London, 1891-92, by James Hawthorn Bishop, with guilloche decoration and applied gold monogram "LG" crowned, turning and unlocking to reveal a glass reservoir, with ebonized shaft and bone ferrule, l. 36-1/2".
