French Art Deco Puiforcat "Etchea" Rosewood and Silverplate Tray

the pattern designed in 1937 by Jean Elysee Puiforcat (1897-1945), Paris, the rounded rectangular rosewood tray with fluted edge and mounted with silverplate handles, each decorated with three spheres.

  • Condition: **In overall good condition. There is a dent in the wood about 3/16" wide and 1" long on the tray near where the long side begins to curve, and a small (3/16") chip on the scalloped edge on the opposing side. Otherwise no issues noted beyond light wear commensurate with age. Marked (on the lower edge of one handle) "Puiforcat France" and the "EP and penknife" Puiforcat silverplate trademark.
