French Belle Epoque Gilt-Bronze Chandelier

fourth quarter 19th century, of Louis XVI inspiration, the twelve-light chandelier with spiral-reeded arms alternating in ram's heads and classical masques, the arms set with leaf-molded scrolls and hung with delicate swags of flowers, with a quiver-form leaf-molded standard set with a leaf-molded vasiform chain support.

  • Provenance: The Collection of the Late Dr. E. Ralph Lupin, New Orleans, Louisiana.
  • Condition: **In "as found" condition. It is missing two of the floral swags that connect from arm to arm as well as the corresponding rosettes at each end of these swags. Nice patina. Wired and currently illuminated.
