Unusual French Gilt-Bronze and Chinese Porcelain Four-Light Chandelier, second quarter 19th century, the standard set with a Chinese celadon square vase holding gilt-bronze "flowers" set with four candle sockets, the handles of the vase laced with gilt-bronze ribbons from the canopy, h. 22", dia. 11-1/2".


  • Condition: Craquelure on vase and patination throughout on bronze chandelier mounts. An old repaired break on one of the vase's lugs. Two support screws are loose but still holding the light fixture intact. One of the four branches is missing a small flower. Scattered nicks and abrasions. Wear is consistent with material, age and use.
