French Bronze Dore Mantel Clock

first quarter 19th century, depicting Eros leaning against the clock case, his chin resting on his bow, his torch and quiver to one side, the case base decorated with arrows and wreaths of flowers, set with a silk-string suspension movement, the silvered dial indistinctly signed, possibly "Le Heares a Lisieux".
h. 16-3/4", w. 12", d. 4-1/4"

  • Condition: **In good condition. The dial is tarnished and the silvering worn from rubbing. The gilt body of the clock is fine. The casting quality crisp and very detailed. The pendulum is present. Lacking a winding key. We are uncertain as to its running condition.
