French Champleve Enamel and Gilt-Bronze Centerpiece, fourth quarter 19th century, composed as a tazza-form base with a trumpet vase, the Middle Eastern-inspired enamel playing against the delicately molded dragon-form handles mounted on the sides of the vase, h. 14", dia. 6-1/4".


  • Condition: In generally good condition. Very scattered nicks/firing anomalies with four small shallow flaked losses to the enamel, all of these scattered above the join. Mounts retain much of the original gilt with typical scattered oxidation. The bronze interior generally oxidized.
