French Neoclassical Giltwood Floor Lamp

second quarter 20th century, with double sockets supported on an acanthus leaf-decorated urn, above a fluted standard, the base with beading, reeding and leaf molding, on a tripodal base with Greek fret-carved feet.
h. 73-1/2", dia. 15-1/2"

  • Condition: **The relief of anthemion leaves around the top of the fluted standard exhibits several small cracks and a loss to one tip - likely the result of having been knocked over. Two pieces of anthemion at the top are lacking. Anthemion relief around the base (before the feet) also exhibits numerous small cracks. Two of the hanging tassels on the feet have been repaired. Lamp exhibits some scattered nicks to gilding and gesso, mostly to feet and turned edges. In overall good condition given material, age and use. Lamp is in working order.
