French Painted Trumeau Mirror
second quarter 20th century, both the lower and upper panels framed with giltwood scrollwork, the upper panel with an oil-on-canvas painting of "Love Lost", depicting a gentleman in the background releasing a bird from a cage as a young woman and her chaperone look on.

Condition: **The oil on canvas has a small section of paint loss to the dress of the lady on the right. Other old spots of paint touch-ups. Shrinkage cracks to the framing. The carved and gilded borders around the painting and mirror have chipping and flaking to the gilding throughout. Old glued repair to this molding as well. The mirror has imperfections to the silvering from age.
