French Patinated Bronze of Terpsichore, first quarter 20th century, after Mathurin Moreau (French, 1822-1912), cast signature, inscribed "hors concours", and with a "Medaille d'Honneur" mark along proper right edge of self-base, on a beveled and shaped marble plinth, overall, h. 31-1/2", w. 14-1/2", d. 9-1/4".


  • Condition: In overall good condition with scattered nicks and abrasions: right upper arm, back of rock, proper left knee and foot, right buttock, right forefinger and pinkie, left leg, along bottom of self-base. All consistent with age, material and usage. Harp missing one string. Faint layer of soiling. Golden brown patina.
