French Provincial Oak Tall Case Clock, early 19th century, with a porcelain face and an embossed brass surround depicting "Paul and Virginia", the dial bearing the name "Gue Poret, a Bolbec", with a two-weight time and strike movement, h. 95", w. 20", d. 10". Provenance: The Estate of Hugh Curtiss and Charlene Weaver, Hattiesburg, Mississippi.


  • Condition: The case is in overall very good condition. The embossed brass face with some crimps and old tarnish - discoloration along the bottom edge. The porcelain dial with faint hairlines. Two-weight movement strikes on the hour and half hour. Appears to be a 30-hour movement. Pendulum and winding key present.
