French Restauration Marble Bathtub

first half 19th century, with a rolled edge and a raised seat, similar to Napoleon's famous tub.
h. 24", w. 64", d. 29"

Provenance: The Estate of Frank Fasullo, New Orleans, Louisiana.

  • Condition: **In overall good condition. We have no scale which can weigh this, but it is heavy. Our fine art handlers estimate the weight at a minimum of 500 lbs. No major cracks, but all-over oxidation and pitting; probably from being outside. There is a series of losses along the foot on one side of the "head" end with two surface losses and possibly some restoration. Additionally, there are scattered shallow surface gouges and scratches. There is a drain hole in the foot end, and a raised seat on the head end.
