George II Scottish Sterling Silver Bullet Teapot, unmarked, second quarter 18th century, of slightly flattened oval form, the shoulder and rim of the flush lid engraved with a scrolling rocaille band, with fluted "gooseneck" spout, crested double-scroll handle, domed foot ring and baluster finial, h. 6-1/2", l. 11", dia. 5-1/2", 22.03 t. oz.


  • Condition: Overall Condition: Good. Scattered minor dents, bumps, scuffs and dings consistent with age and use. Moderate wear to the detail of the engraving. Scratches on the handle mounts indicate that the rosewood insulators - and possibly the handle itself, which has some give - are replacements. No hallmarks as noted in the catalogue description.
